To Our FPIW Defenders:
If you have not seen the news by now, Democrats on the House Education Committee yesterday rejected a proposed Republican amendment to House Bill 1296 that would have required schools to contact parents immediately if their child has been a victim of sexual misconduct by a teacher or other school staff.
As it now stands, the school is not required to contact the parents for 48-hours to give the school’s legal counsel time to get their ‘ducks in a row’ before informing the parents of the misconduct.
48-hours. In addition to violating parental rights, can you imagine what that child would go through?
Below are the names, office phone numbers and email addresses of the Democrats who rejected the amendment. Every single one should be inundated with phone calls and emails pointing out their shameful vote. Be direct, be stern, but please keep in mind your Christian witness and avoid name calling, inappropriate language, or threats.
Please share this list with as many people as you can and make contact today! For convenience, here is a link to email all of the members at once: Democrats on the House Education Committee.
