Our Vision

“A state where authentic biblical values flourish.”

Here at FPIW Action, we defend the family. As a lobbyist, I currently represent 87,000 people across Washington State. Join us. Let’s unite for the mission and see the change we desire right here in our home.

The FPIW Advantage

Greetings Defenders!

We are now in week eight of the 2025 Legislative Session – about halfway through with roughly seven weeks to go. After wading through hundreds of bills, this is our chance to catch our breath.

For the next two weeks, floor debate will take center stage under the Capitol dome. During this time, there will be no public hearings on bills so you will not be receiving any Action Alerts. But, if you would like, you can learn how to auto-fill your PRO or CON form for the future in order to make registering easier. Here is our new video – click here.

Public hearings will resume the second week of March. House committees will deliberate Senate bills, and the Senate will grapple with House bills. Our PRO-CON voice will once again be needed!

The FPIW Advantage

FPIW Action is the largest organization for politically active Christians in Washington State. We’re all about truth, morality, and relationship. This means we don’t just register PRO or CON – we deliver your voice in person to lawmakers, guided by high-quality public policy review, and we strive to understand the facts and strategy behind each bill. It’s the core of our work.

We stand for truth while remaining faithful to our Christian values and treating lawmakers and their staff with respect. We believe in civility and principled persuasion – fighting harmful bills, supporting good ones, and building relationships on both sides of the aisle. Because we have a future interest in offering our own legislation, we remain on good terms with lawmakers across the political spectrum. We don’t compromise our values – we demonstrate them. As Romans 12:18 says, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Having a full-time lobbyist is a huge advantage – someone legislators know by name, who can meet them face-to-face or call them anytime, build trust, and speak up for families. Every day, we’ve got boots on the ground. We’re on the inside. We’re known. Lawmakers routinely ask for our public policy position and, many times, for prayer.

Our Hurdles

In Washington State, frustration runs high. Yet, as Christians, we know God works even in the darkest places. Standing at the gates of government requires more than courage – it demands humility. It’s easy to vent online in an age of social media, but it’s another thing entirely to look a lawmaker in the eye and discuss the bills they propose. Whether we agree or disagree – I promise you – our feet remain firmly planted in the gospel of Christ.

While some thrive on divisiveness, we stand steadfast in truth. It’s not easy. Then again, neither is following Christ. As G.K. Chesterton famously said, “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.”

Standing Our Ground

Conservatives face substantial hurdles in our state. Consider the balance of power: a 59–39 deficit in House seats and a 30–19 deficit in the Senate. We cannot expect to pass any legislation lacking solid bipartisan support, while much of our work involves defending against evil. Defenders defend. And we rejoice at any territory – any square inch – where we can advance.

We can change Washington, but only if we unite to turn this ship around. The numbers are there – we simply need to engage those who have been sitting on the sidelines. Thank you for your willingness to pray on the Capitol campus, lift up our lawmakers, register your PRO-CON positions on bills, and testify when needed.

We’re shaping the story of Washington State. With our new app and revamped website, our voice is stronger, more strategic, and ready to make a difference as we head into the second half of this legislative Session. May God use our combined efforts to see biblical values flourish across our state.

Defending the family,
